Our History

Huda’s Haven started out as an orchard. There was one cabin; our home, and the rest was free reign forĀ jackfruit, rambutans, mangoes, mangosteen, papaya, you name it. The cabin was simple, it functioned as a temporary resting space after a long day out. It didn’t even have a bed back then. Still, as plain as it was, we had considered it a nice refuge from our busy lives. It was enough of a sanctuary to call our haven.
And “Huda”? You guessed it. That’s the matriarch of our little nucleus family. And when this place was given its name, we just thought that this was the prettiest sounding alliteration. We never imagined what it would soon become.
At first, we had invited people to come over for picnics. This naturally led to some overnight stays. We used to spend hours figuring out how to pitch tents at the beginning! ^^ The increasingly regular overnight stays then steered us towards room construction. The first of these rooms would be Rumah Kayu. The expansion went on to a whole double-storey building, and eventually the accommodation units evolved into villas.
Somehow, it became not just a haven for us, but for extended family, friends, and now guests from all over the country.
It’s been filled with ups and downs, (because we used to host once a year, and now we host every weekend, and some weekdays too!) but we’ve learnt from every bit of the experience and won’t trade it for anything.
We hope our guests, much like us, have a wonderful experience here that they will cherish for a long time.
